This is the blog post I have been waiting to write ever since I resigned from my job back in January. I landed a new fantastic job doing what I dreamed of – software development!
It’s particularly satisfying because on top of being in an awesome position for a great company, it is a career change and I feel immense pride from seeing months of hard work come to fruition. I feel like Hannibal of The A-Team giving his signature affirmation. I love it when a plan comes together!
It’s pretty crazy to look back over the past few months and see how closely the plan aligned with the actual journey. Obviously, that’s what I was aiming for and served as motivation to work hard day in and day out, but anything can happen when the endgame is months away and the outcome is open to interpretation. To that point, there certainly were challenges along the way, but ultimately I achieved what I set out to do in the timeframe that I wanted.
It feels great to have taken down that elephant.
